The Baggage Factory Limited is an authorized dealer and supplier for most leading luggage Brands.

You can rest assured that any purchase you make through the Baggage Factory on-line is supplied with and backed by the original manufacturer’s warranty. Your order will be shipped with the manufacturer’s warranty label attached. Please ensure you keep this label in a safe place along with a copy of your order confirmation paperwork provided by the Baggage Factory. You will need this documentation in the event that you require a repair or replacement of your luggage that falls within the scope of your warranty.

For reference, you will find here a copy of the warranty provided by most of our branded luggage suppliers. Should it be necessary for you to make a warranty claim, it is advisable to call the Baggage Factory customer services department on 0208 591 2111 for advice and for us to record and help progress your claim.

The Baggage Factory Limited warrants that all products supplied via an order from our internet site or via an order taken over the telephone, will be shipped in “As New Condition”. Should your order arrive in less than perfect condition, subject to compliance with the terms and conditions of our returns policy, the Baggage factory will supply a replacement at no cost to the purchaser.

Please note: Baggage Factory Limited can only help your with repairs and warranty claims where the item has been purchased from one of our stores or on-line from our web site. Please ensure you have details of your purchase from us (receipt number, order number, date, store and so on) if you call us for assistance or visit one of our stores for advice.


Most Samsonite luggage products are supplied with a limited lifetime warranty or 2, 5 or 10 years. The nature and detail of the Samsonite warranty is as follows:

Samsonite products are rigorously tested to ensure that the travel products you trust meet stringent standards. Consequently, if a problem occurs with this Samsonite product (the “Product”) and the problem is caused by manufacturing defects in material and workmanship, Samsonite will, in its discretion, either fix or replace the Product in accordance with the warranty terms and conditions stated herein. The warranty provided for herein applies only to the first purchaser or gift recipient of the Product. The duration of the warranty is stated on the warranty card inside the Product and/or in the list of Product features on our website.

This warranty covers only manufacturing defects and does not cover any damage caused by misuse (such as transportation of unusual items), neglect, accidents, abrasion, exposure to extreme temperatures, solvents, acids, water, normal wear and tear or transport damage (by airlines for example). While non-warranty maintenance or repairs on your Product can be performed by any company, Samsonite requires that you use only an approved Samsonite service centre (“Service Centre”) for warranty repairs. Improper or incorrectly performed maintenance or repairs void this warranty. Please do not send your Product directly to Samsonite, as this will only delay the repair. This warranty is global and you may have your Product repaired at any Service Centre in the world. You are, however, responsible for all costs of getting the Product to any such Service Centre including, but not limited to, the cost of packaging, shipping and applicable taxes.

For warranty service at a Service Centre, you will need the duly completed warranty certificate or original receipt of purchase. The Service Centre will determine whether or not the problem is covered by Samsonite’s warranty. If the warranty applies, you will be notified as to whether the Product will be repaired or replaced. Any such repair or replacement will be at Samsonite’s expense, including any costs required to return the repaired or replacement product to you. If the Product is to be replaced and the Product is no longer available, Samsonite will substitute a comparable Samsonite product.

Incidental and consequential damages are expressly disclaimed. Labour charges and damages attributable to work performed by anyone other than a Service Centre are not covered by this warranty. To the extent permitted by applicable law, any implied warranties are hereby excluded. The warranty provided herein is limited to the value of the Product. Manufacturing specifications are subject to change without notice. Product locks are intended only to prevent accidental opening and cannot necessarily prevent theft of the Product or its contents, breakage or entry by airline or airport personnel or governmental authorities. Inspect your Product immediately after handling by anyone other than you. If damaged in transit, submit a claim to the transit company (which is insured against damaging your product) at the place of arrival, if possible, before clearing customs.

This warranty is intended to give you specific legal rights. In addition to the rights described herein, you may also have other rights that vary from state to state or country to country with respect to the exclusion or application of implied warranties, incidental and consequential damages and repair and replacement. Consequently, the limitations or exclusions specifically contained in this warranty may not be applicable to you.

If your Briggs & Riley bag is ever broken or damaged, even if it was caused by an airline, we will repair it free of charge – Simple as that! Here’s how the Briggs & Riley Simple as that® guarantee works:

A. Simple bag repairs – you can send or bring your bag to a local Authorized Repair Centre. No repair number is needed. Please note that you are responsible for any freight charges incurred when shipping your bag to an authorized repair centre.

B. Badly damaged bags – we recommend sending them directly to Briggs & Riley at one of our Official Company Repair Centres.

Our ‘Simple as That®’ guarantee will cover the repair of all functional aspects of your Briggs & Riley bag for life.

We will continue to repair your bag even if you decide to purchase a new Briggs & Riley product with the latest performance innovations. Naturally, our warranty does not cover cosmetic wear or cleaning, nor does it cover the replacement of lost or stolen bags and/or its content.

If your bag or its contents are damaged by an airline and you wish to hold them responsible, we suggest that you file a claim with the carrier before leaving the airport. If you choose not to do this and instead wish for us to repair your bag, we will be happy to do so at no charge.

Due to the nature of certain types of repairs and normal wear and tear, it is not always possible to return your bag to its original condition.


RIMOWA provides a five-year manufacturer’s guarantee on the product you purchase in accordance with the conditions below for the first purchaser or person receiving the product as a present, starting with the purchase date (guarantee period).

This guarantee only applies if the usability of the product is considerably adversely affected by a material or manufacturing fault already present at the time of hand-over (defect).

This guarantee does not apply, however, if the usability is restricted by abrasion, improper use or externally occurring forces (particularly flight or transport damage, e.g. deformation, cracks, body breakages, scratches wear etc.) or by liquids (please observe the care instructions attached below). We recommend having the product inspected by a third party immediately after retrieval from transport handling and immediately reporting any damage to the carrier (e.g. airline or railway operator) who is insured against this.

To claim our guarantee, immediately inform a RIMOWA dealer or an authorized RIMOWA service centre of any defect within the guarantee period and hand over or send the product and the completed certificate of guarantee or original proof of purchase. Upon reviewing the product, RIMOWA will decide whether the defect is covered by the guarantee. If this is the case, RIMOWA will repair or replace the product at its own cost and pay the return consignment costs. The sending costs are borne by the purchaser. The product may also be replaced with a comparable successor product. Incidental and consequential damages are not included under this guarantee. The guarantee is limited to the value of the product. If RIMOWA agrees to a guarantee case, claims from this guarantee lapse six months after they have been asserted but not before expiry of the guarantee period.

This guarantee grants you exclusively the rights described above. In addition, you may also have other statutory rights, particularly country-specific rights (e.g. against the seller), which differ in the way they regulate liability for defects, compensation claims and consequential damage and are possibly more extensive.
